What is Fort Dodge Index?

With traditional pet ownership in decline, and an ever-increasing number of providers competing for business, from corporate practices and new practices to pet superstores and the internet, veterinary business has never been tougher.

Fort Dodge Index is a business tool created to help veterinary practices analyse their business model and make informed decisions about the products and services that they offer by sharing information with similar businesses across the UK.

Members are not only able to better address current issues in their practice business, but also prepare for future challenges like fee transparency and the priviliege to dispense.

		FDI has been operating for over 10 years and now has more than 200 participating practices in England, Scotland and Wales. 65% of the participants are dedicated small animal practices, with the balance being mixed practices.
